Scope of this Standard
The requirements of this Standard apply to manually operated, general-use snap switches for connection to copper (Cu) or copper-clad conductors used in accordance with TTS 171: Part 1: 2002, Trinidad and Tobago Electrical Wiring Code: Part 1 - Low voltage installations, (including Amendment 1 (2007)) and intended for connection to wiring systems recognized by TTS 171: Part 1: 2002. Requirements for switches for connection to aluminum (Al) conductors used in accordance with the TTS 171: Part 1: 2002 and intended for connection to wiring systems recognized by TTS 171: Part 1: 2002 are covered by Appendix B.
